The International College of Seville (ICS), founded in 1982, occupies a three-story Andalusian villa in the charming neighborhood of El Porvenir. It is next to the beautiful María Luisa Park and houses classrooms, a reference library, TV room, Internet facilities, study areas, and the program’s administrative offices. The University of Seville, the academic partner of ICS, was founded in 1551 and is one of the leading institutions in Spain, serving over 70,000 students. Located in the downtown area, ICS students who attend classes at the University of Seville study in a beautiful 18th Century building with local and international students.
In addition to Spanish language courses, courses offered in English include subjects in History, Political Science, Literature, and Business/International Trade. No knowledge of Spanish is required.
Semester Academic Programs
Take 12-18 credits (4-6 courses) a semester, no Spanish language knowledge is required to participate. You may enroll in Spanish language courses at all levels from elementary through advanced at the International College of Seville (ICS). A variety of courses taught in English include subjects in History, Political Science, Literature, and Business/International Trade.

By clicking on "Academic Program" and selecting the term and institution for study, students can readily find a list of course options, as well as course syllabi at the bottom of each page. All students may take courses taught in English at two institutions: ICS and at EUSA. Students with two years of college Spanish ability (or the equivalent) may take courses taught in Spanish at a third institution, the University of Seville (US). After applying, students will indicate their preferred course for the term by submitting a course registration form. When current syllabi are not posted please know that current term syllabi are very similar to past course syllabi.
ICS has a partnership with EUSA (Estudios Universitarios y Superiores de Andalucia), a private University Center founded in 1961 and affiliated with University of Seville since 1969. Through this affiliation students may now take courses in an EUSA Media Studies Program. Students may take courses taught in English in the following disciplines: Advertising, Art, Art History, Business, Communication, Creative Writing, Culture, European Studies, Film, Geography, History, Iberian Studies, International Business, International Relations, International Studies, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Marketing, Media Studies, Photography, Political Science, Public Relations, Sociology, Spanish, and Tourism. Students who take EUSA courses pay an additional course fee.
If you are proficient in Spanish, you are invited to take upper-level courses taught in Spanish at the University of Seville (US). University courses are designed for visiting overseas students; you can take 3–5 courses and earn 12-15 credits. University courses are available in subjects like Spanish Language and Literature, Spanish Culture, History, Geography, Anthropology, Art History, International Relations, and Political Science.
Students enrolled in the semester program can enroll in 12 to 18 credit hours at the International College of Seville and three to five courses with a maximum of 15 credit hours at the University of Seville.

The International College of Seville recognizes the interest many students have in reaching out to the wider community by participating in social service and has established agreements with Non-Governmental Organizations in Seville. ICS students may collaborate with the following organizations during their stay in Seville:
ICS offers internships in law, social media, marketing, soccer training, working in European Union organizations, and in teaching.

Summer Academic Program
Classes are taught in Spanish.
- International College of Seville Intensive Spanish Language Program: 6 credits. Students can choose to take 6 credits of Spanish language at the Elementary, Intermediate, or Advanced Level. This Intensive Spanish Language Program is 4 weeks and provides you with an opportunity to experience and understand Spanish society and its institutions through direct exposure to Spain’s history, art and contemporary society. You’ll enjoy city visits to the Palace and Cathedral, a day trip to historic Cordoba, and an overnight trip to Morocco, Africa.

Student accommodations are located in safe neighborhoods with easy access to the school by foot or public transportation. The Homestay option, offered for semester and for summer students, is strongly recommended for students wishing to truly immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture. In Homestays, one or two students are placed with a typical Spanish family and are integrated into daily life and activities. Another option during the semester only is to stay supervised Residencias, which exhibit more of a student atmosphere. Typically 2-3 students share a home with a landlady or couple who takes care of student needs. Students are provided three daily meals and laundry in both housing options.
Upon arrival, students participate in a Welcome Week of orientation activities, which provides information on the program, city, academics, health, safety, and several fun and interesting extracurricular social and cultural activities. Welcome Week and semester activities included in the program costs are: Spanish language Intercambio, Spanish cooking classes, Flamenco lessons, Walking tour with Churros, Belly dancing with exotic teas, Spanish cooking classes, City Excursions, and the End of Term party. Several distinct and fascinating excursions are also organized by ICS and included in the program cost such as day visits to historic Andalusian cities and an overnight trip to Morocco, Africa. Other organized activities include soccer matches, and visits to local attractions like the aquarium and shopping center.
You’ll enjoy field trips to Córdoba and a two night excursion to Morocco, Africa. You’ll also experience activities during the Welcome Weekend and the summer term like the Breakfast buffet at Orientation, a Flamenco show and Tapas dinner, a walking tour with Churros and chocolate breakfast, Belly dancing and exotic teas, two Spanish cooking classes, two Introduction to Flamenco classes, excursions in the city, and an End of Term party.
Extra Curricular Soccer Option
Students are able to play soccer as an extracurricular activity at ICS, in collaboration with Eleven Stars Academy of Seville*.
This activity is open to male and female university students of all levels of expertise, from beginner to semi-professional.
ICS students will train twice weekly in sessions of 1 ½ hours in a Spanish federated soccer club along with Spanish players of that team. Those students with a sufficient command of the game will also be able to compete with the team, command to be decided by the team coach.
Students will receive intensive physical and technical training to help them evolve in their techniques of both defensive and offensive play. The objective is to prepare players for a high level of competition, with Spanish coaches who will implement the basic notions and competitiveness of Spanish soccer. The trainers and technicians that work for Eleven Stars Academy are licensed and recognized professionals, with many years experience in their field.
The cost of the training program is $100/month. Included in this price are:
· 3 hours of training weekly
· Training kit (2 Eleven Stars team shirts & one pair of shorts)
· Possibility of competing on weekends with a federated team
· Free guided tours of Seville’s two soccer team stadiums: El Betis and El Sevilla, as well as attendance to training sessions
· Diploma upon completion, granted by Eleven Stars Academy.
*Eleven Stars Agency of Seville is an agency whose aim is to represent and manage the interests of professional and non-professional soccer players in order that they can achieve their full potential. The services provided focus on every aspect of the life-style of a soccer player so the athlete can solely focus on his or her performance. In addition to representing players from their start as athletes to their entrance in the professional league, Eleven Stars acts as a consultant agent, connecting players with clubs through a vast network of experienced FIFA licensed players agents, sports attorneys, journalists, scouts, and soccer academies.
Students who have a minimum of 12 completed college credits and earned minimum GPA of 2.5 may apply; At least 18 years of age; No Spanish or Arabic language knowledge is required.
